These were the definitions I found when I first began my search to define wellness. I felt the answers were too vague and needed to search for a better and more complete explanation. I stumbled on to a website that offered a ton of information on various platforms that
promote their model of whole-person wellness. The website is “The
National Wellness Institute. Dr. Bill Hettler is the co-founder and developer of “The Six Dimensions of Wellness,”which promotes
addressing emotional, occupational, physical, social, intellectual,
and spiritual all must be considered when we begin the process
of learning to make better choices towards a more successful
existence. They offer tools that you can download so that you
can get some kind of idea off where you stand in your whole-person wellness. They offer memberships of various types, so that you
can select one that best fits your needs and budget. Joining in as a member entitles you to gain access to webinars, you can earn
continuing education credits, stay current with the best practices,
utilize their resources, receive all their publications, they offer
various courses in which you will earn a certificate, they have a career
center where they post job openings. I recommend that you
check this website out for yourself.
